Geoff has been involved in Christian ministry for all his adult life, beginning with children's clubs and youth work before many years of ministry with families and adults. Now in his later years, he believes this season has been the most fruitful of all.
After ten years in fulltime church ministry across denominations, Geoff ran his own accountancy business until retirement. In 2005, he and his wife Debbie founded Crossways Church Fellowship, which has grown into a vibrant church family.
Geoff has a deep passion for Bible teaching and relies daily on the Holy Spirit to make Scripture relevant and accessible to modern disciples of Jesus. He describes his faith as a lifelong journey with the most amazing teacher and friend. He feels richly blessed by his family and the Crossways church community, whom he loves dearly.
Debbie is married to Geoff and is a mother and grandmother. Together they founded Crossways Church Fellowship and have served the church faithfully for over 20 years.
She feels a strong calling to Bible teaching and is passionate about helping people understand what Jesus meant when He spoke to the crowds, and how His words apply to our lives today. Debbie also loves coming alongside people and praying with them, offering support and encouragement.
She considers it a privilege to be part of the Crossways community and values the loving, supportive relationships that exist within the church family.
Peter has been married to his wife Susanna for 35 years, and together they have three grownup children. They joined Crossways Church Fellowship around 2015 and were drawn by the strong sense of family and clear Bible teaching.
Peter is involved in leading and supporting children's and youth work, helping younger generations grow in faith within a loving church environment.
Susanna is married to Peter and has a creative heart. Her passions include dance, worship, and working with children. Alongside Peter, she has been a foster carer for over 15 years and values the richness of meeting people from many different cultures.
She enjoys expressing worship through movement and supporting children and young people as they grow and explore faith.
Sharon joined Crossways with her husband Paul around 2007 and has been actively involved in church life ever since. She regularly leads meetings and enjoys sharing her faith and love for Jesus with others.
A mum of two and grandmother of three, Sharon has been a widow since March 2025. Through both joyful and challenging seasons, her faith has sustained her. She is passionate about encouraging others and sharing hope in an everchanging world.
Helen has been part of Crossways Church Fellowship since its inception in 2005. She loves serving both her church family and the wider community, expressing her faith through care, generosity, and practical support for others.
As Treasurer and Trustee, Helen plays an important role in the stewardship and administration of the church.
Tracey joined Crossways around 2006 and has always regarded it as her spiritual home and family. Over the years, the church community has supported her through both difficult and joyful seasons of life.
Before retiring in 2022, Tracey worked for many years as an accountant, experience she now brings to her role as a Trustee, supporting the church with administration and financial oversight. She lives in Witham with her husband Nigel and enjoys life as a stepmum and stepnanny.
Rachael joined Crossways Church Fellowship in 2019 and quickly grew to love the worship, teaching, and people. Before becoming Church Administrator, she worked in outreach in Halstead for almost five years.
In 2025, she took on the role of Church Administrator and Outreach Coordinator. Rachael's passion is meeting people where they are and coming alongside them with compassion, care, and the love of Jesus.
